BELAIT ‘A’ brought Brunei Muara A’s progress to a screeching halt after edging them 79-78 in a tightly-contested affair in the 5.11 National Day Challenge Trophy at the Brunei Basketball Association Court in Batu Bersurat, last night.
Brunei Muara ‘A’ has only conjured a victory the night before when they snapped Temburong’s two-game winning streak but Belait ‘A’ stunning victory left the door wide open in the search for tournament triumph.
It is back to the drawing board for Peter S.T. Chen’s charges who next face a must-win game against Tutong.
On the other hand, Belait ‘A’ bounced back from their crashing defeat in a district derby against Belait ‘B’, who were interestingly beaten by Temburong.
Meanwhile, Temburong erased memories of their defeat in their last game by strolling to a comfortable 82-59 win to make it three wins out of four.
