SETIA Bakti ‘B’ and ASMDB FT possessed the chance to jump right in the mix of the qualifying places in Group ‘D’ when the pair clash in President 2 of the DST National Veteran Football League at the JKR Sports Complex today.

The Group ‘D’ strugglers are in dire need to get off the mark with a win following their opening day losses and will hope to apply pressure to second-placed MBS United.

Setia Bakti ‘B’ surrendered a two goal lead against table-toppers Jerudong Veteran in their first game and hope to tighten their defence, while ASMDB FT made their season debut in a 3-1 defeat to MBS United.

Setia Bakti currently lie third with newcomers ASMDB FT in fourth with only goal difference separating both sides.

A draw for either side will dent their qualification hopes especially if Jerudong and MBS pull away even further.

Currently, Jerudong are three points clear from MBS after collecting a perfect record and stay in contention of progressing to the knockout stages.

Meanwhile in Group ‘E’, former winners PSJD are hoping to erase last year’s poor campaign in the league with victory over basement dwellers Media FC at the Bengkurong Community Hall Field.

KPPKSK are the current Group ‘E’ leaders following their 7-1 rout over Media FC on March 3.
