MORE than 200 competitors registered for Day 1 of the Bruneian leg of Under Armour’s ‘Test of Will’ competition yesterday at Berakas Sports Complex.
Day 2 of the Southeast Asian-wide fitness competition will continue today from 10am, and organisers are expecting more walk-in registrations.
Registration is free and open to Bruneians and permanent residents aged 21 and above. Interested parties can log on to www.testfofwill.com and indicate their preferred time to participate, or drop by at Berakas Sports Complex to register.
Day 1 of the competition saw competitors going head-to-head on “one of the most advanced urban fitness challenges”, a four-minute circuit consisting Burpees, One Arm Thruster, TRX Rows and Sandbag Throw.
Each competitor was scored based on the maximum number of repetitions they can achieve within 60 seconds.
The highest-scoring male and female competitor will win an all-expense-paid trip to compete in the regional finals, which will take place in Kuala Lumpur on May 6.
This year’s ‘Test of Will’ will also take place in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia, where competitors set out to celebrate human performance through functional training challenges.
The overall champion from this year’s regional finals will walk away with SGD2,500 cash prize.
Participants who complete the four-minute challenge will receive a goody bag, and the top three male and female participants will win prizes.
