A FOUNDATION stone laying ceremony for the construction of a three-storey house on a plot of land at Lot 48227, Spg 51-10, Kampong Pengkalan Gadong, owned by Baitulmal, was held on yesterday by Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam.
Present yesteday as the guest of honour was Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, in his capacity as Chairman of the Badan Tanmiah Board of Directors; other members of the board and senior officials from Brunei Islamic Religious Council; as well as the director, officers and staff of Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam and Badan Tanmiah Petrol Station.
The construction of the house is one of Badan Tanmiah Harta Majlis Ugama Islam’s strategic investment plans to generate income through socio-economic development for the wellbeing of the Muslim community in Brunei Darussalam.
The project is expected to be completed within 12 months.
