A DELEGATIONS comprising three officials from the Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) will depart for Indonesia to represent the country in the 9th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Leaders Summit.
The members of the delegation are Scout Chief Commissioner, Haji Badar bin Haji Ali; International Scout Commissioner, Abdul Manan bin Haji Abdul Latip and Secretary General, Haji Zainuddin bin Haji Jaafar.
Present to bid farewell to the delegation at the Scout Headquarters in Gadong were the President of PPNBD, Dato Paduka Haji Idris bin Haji Abas and other officers at the association.
The summit, organised by the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Committee in collaboration with Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia, will be held at the Inna Grand Bali Beach Hotel in Bali, Indonesia from tomorrow to April 25.
Over 100 Scout Leaders from 25 countries in the Asia-Pacific Region are expected to participate in the summit.
The summit aims to analyse Scout regional movement and development between Scout leaders while understanding the challenges faced in the region.
It also seeks to provide a venue to share suggestions and information in preparation for the 41st World Scout Conference to be held in Azerbaijan from August 14 to 18 and the 26th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference in the Philippines next year.
