ETHICAL work behaviour and honesty are among the qualities a firefighter can display to acquire success.
This was yesterday highlighted by two newly promoted Superintendents of the Fire and Rescue Department during a promotion ceremony.
Fire and Rescue Director Lt Col (Rtd) Yahya bin Haji Abdul Rahman officiated the ceremony at the Fire and Rescue Headquarters at the Old Airport.
Superintendent Raik anak Sakai and Superintendent Mohd Fairul Idzuan bin Haji Jahri, who previously held the post of assistance superintendent, expressed pride in receiving the promotion. The pair looks forward to going back to the field to execute orders and utilise their knowledge to save lives in Brunei.
Fire and Rescue Department Deputy Director Lim Hock Guan and other senior officers also attended the event.
To bless the ceremony, a Doa Selamat was read by Ustaz Othman bin Asat, a religious officer at the Fire and Rescue Department.
