A TOTAL of 26 participants from Helmi Abdullah Fitness (HAF) will do battle in the Spartan Race Singapore at Tampines Avenue in Singapore today.
The participants will take part in the Spartan Sprint and Spartan Super categories.
The youngest participant in the group is eight-year-old Muhd Hafeez Mukhtaruddin who is joining the Spartan Junior event while the eldest is a 45-year-old.
“They have been training for this race. I’m expecting good teamwork from them and a strong finish,” said Helmi Abdullah, owner of Helmi Abdullah Fitness.”The willingness from them to sign up for this race already gained my respect. Their fight always matters to me.”
Helmi will be marking his debut in Singapore in the Spartan Super (Elite Division) having competed in Kuala Lumpur last March where he was placed 33rd in the Spartan Sprint.
“I have been training for this race since I got back from Kuala Lumpur,” he said. “I’m not expecting much but I’ll give my best.”
Spartan Race is the world’s best obstacle course race, with over 240 races in 25 countries.
