DATO Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) was conferred the Distinguished Service Order by Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, President of the Republic of Singapore yesterday at the Istana State Room.
According to a press release, during the same day of the conferment ceremony, Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy made courtesy calls on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong; Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and the Second Minister in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of National Development, Desmond Lee; and Commissioner of Police (CP) Dato Paduka Seri Hoong Wee Teck.
Instituted in 1968, the Distinguished Service Order (DSO) is awarded to any person who has performed any act or series of acts constituting to distinguished conduct within and, in special circumstances, outside Singapore.
Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy was awarded the DSO in recognition of his role in strengthening the strong bilateral ties between the RBPF and Singapore Police Force (SPF).

Quoted from the citation during the conferment ceremony, “Under the leadership of Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy, the relationship between the RBPF and the SPF has grown ever closer, characterised by deepening cooperation in the areas of transnational crime, capacity building, training exchanges and professional development.

He played an instrumental role in strengthening the longstanding friendship between the RBPF and the SPF. This deepened collaboration has helped to strengthen the operational capabilities of the two police forces, and enhance the safety and security of both countries.”
