THE Taiwan Business Association in Brunei Darussalam and Taiwan Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam recently organised a welcoming dinner at The Empire Hotel & Country Club, in honour of William Lin, the new representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Brunei Darussalam.
In his remarks, Lin highlighted the respective roles of both associations in promoting business and further studies in Taiwan.
Lin revealed that he became interested to know more about the communities in Southeast Asia, after befriending a Malaysian boy during his high school years.
The President of the Taiwan Business Association in Brunei Darussalam, Richard Chuang Hsi Shan, welcomed Lin and his spouse to Brunei and said that he looked forward “to further boosting business ties between both countries”.
Meanwhile, Mike Mak, representing the Taiwan Graduates Association, hoped that Lin would enjoy his stay in Brunei Darussalam, along with its pristine forests and clean air.
