A SPECIAL lecture titled ‘Sembahyang Kunci Syurga’ or prayers are keys to heaven was delivered by Acting Deputy State Mufti at the State Mufti’s Office, Dr Haji Mazanan bin Haji Yusof, during the Israk Mikraj celebration yesterday at the Plenary Hall of the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas.
Gracing the celebration was His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. Accompanying His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah; His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik; and His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Wakeel.
In his lecture, Dr Haji Mazanan underlined the importance of prayer and how it is beneficial not just for one’s self but for the nation. He also highlighted the importance of finding solutions during this time of economic instability.
