IN CONJUNCTION with the holy month of Ramadhan, the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Takmir committee members yesterday held a Tahlil, Doa Arwah and donation presentation ceremony for the orphans of Kampong Kiulap, Kampong Kiarong and Kampong Menglait of Mukim Gadong ‘B’.
The ceremony was held at the multipurpose hall of the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.
The event commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the welcoming remark by the Chairman of the event, Ustaz Haji Haris bin Haji Suboh, Acting Senior Religious Officer of the Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah.
The guest of honour, Acting Director of Youth and Sports Department, Pengiran Anak Mohd Sofian bin Pengiran Anak Haji Ibrahim, presented money and gifts to 21 orphans.
Haji Mohammad bin Haji Abu Bakar, Village Head of Kampong Kiulap; Haji Omarsidi bin Haji Ahmad, Village Head of Kampong Kiarong; Haji Mohdar bin Haji Ahmad, Village Head of Kampong Menglait; and consultative members of all three villages were also present.
The event concluded with a Doa Selamat.
