A DONATION handover ceremony was held at the Temburong District Office building recently.
The donation worth $2,011 was raised by the committee members of the alumni of Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam Secondary School’s (SMJA) first English-medium intake of 1975-1978.
The donations were handed over by Haji Abdurahman bin Haji Nasir, Penghulu of Mukim Labu and a committee member of the alumni to Haji Mohd Azmi bin Haji Suhaili, Chairman of the Temburong District Orphans Fund for 2017-2019.
According to Haji Abdurahman, the contribution aims to help orphans registered in the Temburong District Office especially for the upcoming Hari Raya celebration. It is also one of the annual activities conducted by the alumni in their efforts to give back to the community.
