TWENTY-THREE recipients comprising of senior citizens and less fortunate families the needing assistance from eight villages in Brunei-Muara District and a village in Tutong District received donation from the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan) yesterday.
The donation was handed over by Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education in his capacity as the Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors.
The amount of the donation was $30,546. Recipients received the donation in the form of financial, basic necessities and food, entrepreneurial assistance and special patient needs equipment to a senior citizen.
A donation of $51,100 was also handed over to the Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA) from the Fuzhou Shiyyi Association (Brunei) represented by 55 individuals and companies.

The donation was received by Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi in his capacity as the Chairman of DANA Board of Trustees, and on behalf of DANA.
Also present were Haji Brahim bin Haji Ismail, Managing Director of Yayasan; assistants managing directors as well as officers and staff members of Yayasan.
