PREPARATIONS are now in full swing across the nation to mark the 71st birthday anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam this Saturday.
It will begin with the mass Maghrib prayer, recitation of Surah Yaasiin and thanksgiving prayer as well as Isyak prayer on the eve of the occasion on Friday, followed by the traditional ceremonial parade at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital. The audience and investiture ceremony will be held later at the Istana Nurul Iman on July 15.
With four more days before the momentous occasion, uniformed personnel were fine-tuning their march past and parade yesterday at the Taman.
