Brunei Masters Softball teams depart to Thailand

THE Men and Ladies Masters Softball National Team of the Brunei Darussalam Amateur Softball and Baseball Association (BASBA) departed for Bangkok yesterday to compete in the 3rd Ladies Masters Softball Championship and 5th Men Masters Softball Championship at the Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, from July 20-23.

Some 25 ladies and 16 men represent the masters team led by BASBA’s Secretary General, Major (Rtd) Wan Mohd Tambrin bin Haji Suhaili. The teams will compete against teams from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan.

“Both teams won bronze in 2016. We aim to get better results this year,” BASBA Secretary General said told the Bulletin.

Present to bid farewell to the teams was President of BASBA, Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Pahlawan Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jaafar bin Haji Abdul Aziz.
