CK & Associates chalked their first win in the MK Group Cup after recording a 101-71 victory over BBA in Group ‘A’ at the Brunei Basketball Association Court in Batu Bersurat last night.
The win kept them in firm contention of a top four place and for BBA, it was a second successive defeat in three days.
Ricardo F Eliseo had a high scoring game with a total of 28 points while Cuberto Sin Lip Tech and Joey Albert De contributed with 16 points each.
Jake Chong top scored for his team with 21 points in a losing effort which included five three-pointers.
Jake is fast becoming an important player for BBA after repeating the feat as his team’s top scorer having scored 9 points in the Easyway defeat.
For CK & Associates, it was the perfect response after bouncing back from their defeat to Street Roc who looks in good shape to make second place their own.
Meanwhile, Street Roc continued their fine performance with a 105-82 win over Em Prez Sdn Bhd.
BBA’s tough campaign in the MK Group Cup continue tomorrow against Street Roc while CK & Associates will look to win back-to-back matches against Em Prez Sdn Bhd.
The competition continues tonight with YTE Morsjaya and Juramas looking for a victory against both Tutong Basketball and Hainan, respectively.
