SEA Games-bound Sports School alumni feted

THE Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Sports School recently held an appreciation ceremony for its alumni who will be representing the country in the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from August 19 to 30.

The guest of honour at the event was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Acting Minister of Education.

Among the objectives of the event were to show appreciation and moral support to students and former students of Sports School for being selected to represent the country in the 29th SEA Games.

According to a press release by the MoE, the list of Sports School current students and alumni who will be participating in Kuala Lumpur included Md Qazzri Fakhri bin Haji Aslimon and Mohammed Qawim Fakhri bin Haji Aslimon in golf; Abdul Hadi bin Saidin, Muhamad Basyiruddin bin Haji Khamis, Muhd Hafizzuddin bin Jamaluddin, Muhd Alifuddin bin Jamaluddin and Muhd Shahrine bin Bubin in sepak takraw; Muhammad Ishyra Asmin bin Jabidi, Muhd Naziruddin bin Haji Ismail, Md Akif bin Haji Roslan, Awangku Faezuddin bin Pengiran Haris, Mohammad Amin bin Haji Sisa, Mohammad Shafie bin Haji Mohd Effendy, Awangku Md Alimuddin bin Pengiran Jamaludin, Mohamed Zulkhairy Hady bin Razali, Mohd Burhanuddin bin Haji Edy Asmady and Mohd Hanif bin Hamir in football as well as Basma Lachkar in wushu who is still studying at the Sports School.
