MoE pedals towards better health

THE Ministry of Education (MoE) yesterday held its ‘Cycle for Health’ event in conjunction with the Bandarku Ceria in the capital.

Minister of Education Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman attended as the guest of honour.

Organised by the Department of Planning, Development and Research, and Public Relations Unit under the MoE, the event was held to enliven the Bandarku Ceria and to ensure MoE personnel were living a healthy life.

According to a press release, the event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Department of Planning, Development and Research officer Awangku Mohd Saifullah bin Pengiran Haji Ahmad.

This was followed with a speech by Acting Director of Planning, Development and Research Dr Habibah binti Haji Sion and a safety briefing by Department of Co-Curriculum Education officer Mohammad Hilmey bin Haji Md Yassin.

Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi flagged off the participants, who cycled to the Prime Minister’s Office and back to Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien.

Deputy Minister of Education Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar and MoE personnel also attended the event.
