A MURAL arts project was launched at the Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) yesterday.
The week-long project, conducted by the Lotus Light Charity Society and La Vida Sdn Bhd, involved some 30 volunteers expressing their artistic talents while beautifying the vicinity of the KACA Centre.
President of KACA Association, Dato Paduka Haji Zainal bin Haji Momin, officiated the event along with Chairman of the Lotus Light Charity Society (LLCS), Yeo Tiong Lok; General Manager of La Vida Sdn Bhd, Dawn Lee; and Managing Director of KACA, Haji Abdul Halim bin Haji Awang Othman.
The Managing Director of KACA thanked the volunteers and expressed appreciation for their hard work.
Deputy Chairman of LLCS, Lim Sam Lee hoped that the paintings will also serve as a reminder to maintain the cleanliness of the surroundings.
“The project has also stimulated their special talents to contribute to the community and implanted the concept of charitable awareness in their daily lives,” he added.
Volunteers also received certificates at the event.
