HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday afternoon received in audience nine delegations comprising Asean Health Ministers, heads of delegation as well as representatives from the Asean Secretariat and the World Health Organization (WHO) who are in the country for the 13th Asean Health Ministers Meeting and related meetings, which is held from September 3-7, 2017.
Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.
His Majesty received in audience: Professor Dr Nila Djuwita Farid Moeloek, Minister of Health, Republic of Indonesia; Datuk Seri Dr Subramaniam KV Sathasivam, Minister of Health, Malaysia; Dr Myint Htwe, Minister of Health and Sports, Republic of the Union of Myanmar; Gan Kim Yong, Minister of Health, Republic of Singapore; Dr Piyasakol Sakolsatayadorn, Minister of Public Health, Kingdom of Thailand; Professor Dr Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, Minister of Health, Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Associate Professor Dr Phouthone Muongpak, Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Health, Lao People’s Democratic Republic; Dr Lilibeth C David, Undersecretary of Health, Republic of the Philippines; and Professor Eng Hout, Secretary of State, Ministry of Health, Kingdom of Cambodia.
Also present at the audience ceremony were Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, the Minister of Health; Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Permanent Secretary (Corporate Affairs and Public Administration) at the Prime Minister’s Office and Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health.
The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
