HIS Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, yesterday morning received in audience Yasuo Fukuda, the former Prime Minister of Japan, who is on a three-day visit to Brunei Darussalam.
During the audience ceremony, His Royal Highness and the former Japanese Prime Minister discussed Asean-Japan relations.
Yasuo Fukuda is in the country to attend the 23rd Asean Council of Japan Alumni Conference (ASCOJA), which is being organised by the Brunei Association of Japan Alumni (BAJA).
Accompanying Yasuo Fukuda during the audience ceremony was Motohiko Kato, Ambassador of Japan to Brunei Darussalam.
Also present during the ceremony was Brunei’s Minister of Education, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman.
The audience ceremony took place at Qashr Al-Meezaan.
