THE Ministry of Education (MoE) Family Day Celebration, themed ‘Keluarga Cerdas, Generasi Cerdas’, was organised by the Curriculum Development Department at the Biodiversity Park at the Berakas Forest Reserve Recreational Park in Berakas.
The celebration aimed to bring MoE staff members together and build close ties with one another as well as their family members.
Present as guest of honour was Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education.
The morning event kicked off with a welcoming remark from Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Nawi, Director of Curriculum Development.
He highlighted that the celebration acts as one of the mechanisms that can be used to reflect the involvement and commitment from all levels of society including their role within the ministry which is in line with the ‘whole of nation and whole of society approach’ and the nation’s Vision 2035.

He also hoped that the celebration will bring a positive impact towards strengthening cooperation among the employees within the organisation as well as develop a sense of love and family spirit.
The event continued with a mass aerobic session and a slow walk around the park prior to the start of the activities.
Also present during the celebration were Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Education; permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries at the ministry, directors, senior officers, officers, MoE staff members, and the departments under it.
