Haji Zulzalani in an interview with the Sunday Bulletin said, “The goal of the dialogue session was to improve and promote the Belait District as a tourism area.”

He also added that the dialogue session will be used to receive feedback from the local agencies and important figures amd this will be used to construct and improve the various tourism packages for the Belait District.

When asked about the various tourism packages for the local travel agencies to implement, he answered that, “among the packages that are being offered to the various travel agencies include, the ‘Oil and Gas Trail’, which is very popular in the Belait District”. The ‘Oil and Gas Trail’, sees the tourists visiting various oil and gas industrial areas in the Belait District as a way to promote the oil and gas industry and its influence in and out of the country.

Another package is to promote the area surrounding Labi, Teraja, and Rampayoh, as part of an initiative to promote various fauna and flora found in Brunei.

Furthermore, packages will be improved with the feedback from various travel agencies and important figures. “The dialogue session was already held in the other three districst, starting with Temburong District, then the Brunei-Muara District and Tutong District,” he added.

The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism hoped that by offering these packages to promote the districts of Brunei Darussalam and their respective attractions it can convert Brunei as a major tourism destination.
