THE Youth Entreprenuership Expo 2017 – organised by Star Bugs Event Management – was further enlivened yesterday with a durian buffet held at the surrounding areas of the Indoor Stadium in Berakas.
The durian feast has been a huge hit, attracting up to 1,000 “King of Fruits” lovers to the expo, with the durians offered on the day being devoured within a few hours.
Some 3,000 durians have been eaten since the buffet was opened a few days ago.
Organised for the first time in the country, the durian buffet is an all-you-can-eat event, giving visitors the chance to enjoy an unlimited amount of durian pieces for just $15 (adults) and $10 (children).
“I welcome the efforts made by the organiser to hold this inaugural durian buffet which brings great satisfaction to customers,” said Haji Misli, a visitor to the expo.
The second week starting tomorrow October 2 will see the hosting of a colouring contest for children aged between four to 12 years old starting at 4pm.
Children were also kept entertained with the appearance of several mascots, bubble balloons, the airing of films via an installed projector, and bouncers.
All in all, some 60 booths involving 80 entreprenuers were set up at the expo.
The durian buffet ended yesterday but the durian sale is still ongoing until tomorrow.
