HUAWEI Technologies (B) Sdn Bhd has introduced its ‘Huawei Seeds for the Future’ global CSR programme since 2015.
This year, Huawei sponsored six undergraduates from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) on a study trip to China including visit to Beijing and Huawei’s Headquarters in Shenzen.
The study trip programme is held from October 1 to 14, and is fully funded by Huawei Technologies (B) Sdn Bhd.
With this programme, the undergraduates have a chance to experience first-hand the advancement taking place in China’s technological industry.
This programme leverages its world-leading ICT technologies to cultivate ICT professionals in the countries where it operates and thus drive the local ICT industry forward.
The programme offers student delegates opportunities to explore technologies advancement in the growing economy, particularly the current trends in China.
They are also given a glimpse of the global business operation and cross-cultural work practices that may assist to venture towards an ICT career path in the future.
The programme offers various training such as a week-long Mandarin language and culture training at Beijing Language and Culture University along with Huawei Training on ICT Technologies and Solutions, as well as first-hand work experience at Huawei’s Shenzen Headquarters and discovering Chinese culture and historical landmarks.
