A BRUNEI delegation departed for Saudi Arabia last night, to take part in the 39th International Al-Malik Abdul Aziz Al-Quran Memorisation, Recitation and Interpretation Competition in Makkah, from October 7-11.

The delegates comprised of Muhammad Hazri bin Haji Mohd Hamzani, a Diploma Aliyah Qiraat Graduate from the Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB); Abdul Aziz bin Haji Noor Nasran, a student at the ITQSHHB; and Adi Nuriman bin Pengarah Haji Abdullah from the Islamic Syiar Development Division, in his capacity as their coach and manager.

Muhammad Hazri and Abdul Aziz both told the Bulletin that they prepared for the competition by reciting two or three Juzuks from the Holy Quran on a daily basis, along with their peers and Asatizah (religious teachers).
