LEGISLATIVE Council Speaker YB Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib yesterday received a courtesy call from the Secretary-General of Asean Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), Periowsamy Otharam.
The courtesy visit took place at the Department of Councils of State.
Also present during the visit were YB Awang Haji Mohd Shafiee bin Ahmad, a Legislative Council member; Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar, Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk to the Legislative Council; and Rose Aminah binti Haji Ismail, Deputy Clerk to the Legislative Council.
The visit aimed to strengthen cordial ties between Brunei Darussalam and the AIPA.
