D’SUNLIT Sdn Bhd, organiser of the upcoming 18th Consumer Fair, held a briefing yesterday for exhibitors at the company’s premises in Beribi Light Industrial Estate, Phase II.
The attendees were updated on the latest developments, logistics as well as rules and regulations to be adhered to and other relevant matters to ensure smooth running of the event.
Present to deliver the briefing was Laurence Garcia, Events Management Executive of D’Sunlit Sdn Bhd.
The session was attended by representatives of companies and establishments showcasing their products and services during the five-day event.
Exhibitors were also provided details of the opening ceremony that will be held in the afternoon of the first day of the fair on May 25.
The 18th Consumer Fair will take place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas from May 25 to 29 from 10am to 10pm daily, except for Friday when it will close temporarily from 12pm to 2pm for Friday prayers.
The five-day fair will have over 400 booths and 180 exhibitors from Malaysia, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Pakistan, Cambodia, India, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.
The highlight of this year’s fair would be the Food Fest. It will provide wide selection of food offering varied culinary experiences.
Other than food, newcomers in the fair will be showcasing their latest products and services with a variety of promotions.
Some of the exhibitors include Shot of Sugar, Cuckoo, Kopi Kocak, TAIB, Starbucks, Brahim, world’s biggest Halal flight kitchen, and many more.
Moreover, there will also be the ‘Biggest Deal in Town’, presenting combined offers on numerous products and services with discounted prices at different times throughout the five-day event.

Bake Culture will also be hosting baking classes by award winning chefs where Maju LSK Logistics and Foodfare Sdn Bhd and Ji-Mart Enterprise will be sponsoring ingredients for participants.
Registration is now open for the baking classes and can be done at D’Sunlit’s office or Bake Culture. Online registration is also available at www.bruneiconsumerfair.com.
Other than that, Hers Kitchen will be having a ‘Junior Chefs Cookout’ for the children aged 12 years and above and a ‘Family Cook Out’. Registration forms will be available at Hers Kitchen at Kiulap.
Four award winning chefs from Malaysia will be invited to the fair to demonstrate different kinds of skills and techniques in preparing food, and lucky customers stand a chance to enjoy the food made by the chefs.
Piccolo Café’s head Barista will be showcasing latte art skills and three lucky appreciators will get the chance to participate in ‘Make your own cup of latte’ activity.
Kingston Beverage and Creamery Sdn Bhd’s Ice Cream Decoration Challenge, Wonder Theme Sdn Bhd’s Treasure Hunt Maze and Bouncer Ku’s Fear House will be other attractions at the fair.
Thailand embassy will be organising a cultural show at their stage area inside the Plenary Hall, while Kotak Senyum Photobooth will be displaying a photo booth for consumers to take photos with mascots at affordable prices.
Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital will also be at ICC on May 26 from 10am to 3pm to provide blood donation services to the public.
Busy parents visiting the fair will be able to drop off their children at the KindyKare International, which will be setting up a day care centre for young children.
The Grand Lucky Draw of the Consumer Fair is also expected to be a crowd puller this time again.
