FOLLOWING the previous visit by the Lions Club of Belait to Chung Hwa School, Labi, held early last month to raise awareness on the importance of eye care, the Lions Club of Belait has once again visited the school to hand the students their respective prescribed glasses.
The event was held in conjunction with the World Sight Day, with the objective to raise awareness on blindness and vision impairment. This year’s World Sight Day theme was ‘Make Vision Count’, and the event organised by the Lions Club of Belait was made possible with the sponsor from VisionCare, Kuala Belait.
In total, eight students from Years 1 to 6 of the school receive prescription glasses to assist them. The organising chairperson and secretary, Joseph Teo, was present at the event to hand the students their respective prescribed glasses.
Also present were members from the Lions Club of Belait, which includes Membership Chairperson, Raymond Lee; Director, John Chin; Shawn Ho, Edmund Chee, Chong Yu Khiong and Clarence Tham as well as members from the Lions Club of Lambir Miri (2), Treasurer, Aini Kho; and Friend-of-Lion, Sally.
