LOCAL paintball team, Raptors will represent Brunei Darussalam in the Paintball World Cup Asia (WCA) 2017 Championship starting today until November 12 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Seven Raptors’ players compete in the Paintball WCA 2017 championship in the Division 3 Category, which is participated by 16 other teams.
Raptors’ team leader, Hydayath bin Haji Mohd Tahir expressed his gratitude for his team’s opportunity participating in a world-class championship, and for the continuous support from several parties namely the Department of Youth and Sports, Brunei Darussalam National Paintball Association (PANTAS) and Paintball Arena @ Jerudong (PAJ).
“This is the third championship we have participated outside of the country, last year was our first time and earlier this year was in Singapore,” he said.
He also hoped his team will do their best during the championship and every experience gained during the tournament will be used as a learning curve to further enhance the skills of the team.
Present at the Brunei International Airport to bid farewell was the President of PANTAS, Pengiran Shahminan bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahim, who is also the Assistant Director of Paintball WCA 2017 Championship.
