HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday left Da Nang, Socialist Republic of Vietnam after attending the 25th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM).
Prior to departure, a Doa Selamat was recited by Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti.
Before boarding the royal aircraft, His Majesty walked past a static guard of honour mounted by the People’s Army of Vietnam.
Present at Da Nang International Airport to bid farewell to His Majesty were Phung Xuan Nha, Minister of Education and Training of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Also present to bid farewell to His Majesty were Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Lim Jock Seng, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade II and Pengiran Haji Sahari bin Pengiran Haji Salleh, Ambassador of Brunei Darussalam to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
