JURAMAS are the first known team to enter the quarter-final draw of the Men’s Tool Box Challenge Cup of the Low San Brunei Open 2017 after handing St Andrews School a brutal 132-62 rout at the Brunei Basketball Association Court in Batu Bersurat last night.
The pre-tournament favourites finished the group flawless after notching their fourth successive win and will play Group ‘D’ runner-up, which is yet to be determined, as a reward for their finish as Group ‘A’ winners in the quarter-finals on December 5.
It was a shooting practice for Juramas with Alvin Goh leading the way with an astonishing 50 points while Lim Jia and Lim Chee Chuan taking turns of plotting three pointers.
Alvin was at his devastating best skilfully playing a variety of passes allowing his team-mates to coolly toss a collection of three pointers.
Alvin demonstrated one type of pass in his locker after presenting an opportunity for Lim Aik Hock who casually placed the ball into the net.
Soon after, Lim Chee Chuan knocked down for a trey before Lim Jia emulated his feat with a precise attempt as the gap widened.
The runners-up of Group ‘A’ will join Juramas into the knock-out stages as the match between winless YTE x TSC and El-Bombazo Buycour will be met with great interest.
The competition continues tonight with TK Teahouse playing Concept/GMT in the Veteran Low San Shield while Juramas potential opponents MBA and Honey Carsmart will meet in Group ‘D’ of the Men’s Tool Box Challenge Cup.
