A DELEGATION from the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam (PPPBD) left for Singapore yesterday to attend the Girl Guides Singapore Centenary Camp 2017.
The event commemorates the 100th year of the Girl Guides Singapore and will take place at the Camp Christine, Sarimbun Scout Camp in the city state from November 17-21.
Six PPPBD members will take part in the camp as well as a separate hospitality programme on November 21-22.
The members include two Girl Guides leaders, Hajah Ainah binti Haji Untong of Kampong Mata Mata Primary School, and Azana binti Haji Ahad of Jalan 49, Lambak Kanan Primary School.
The remaining are junior PPPBD members Alina Ashadieeyah binti Md Ridwan, Aleiana Eirna binti Alex, Dayangku Wardatul Jannah binti Pengiran Md Noorhasni and Dayangku Fitriyah Haziqah binti Pengiran Mahali from the two schools.
The schedule also includes an educational visit to the Girl Guides Singapore Centenary Camp by six commission members of the PPPBD. They are Hajah Siti Hafsah binti Haji Abdul Halim as the Head Commissioner of PPPBD; Deputy Head Commissioner Hajah Viviyanti binti Haji Ali; International Commissioner Norazrina binti Haji Sarbini; Commissioner Hajah Napsiah binti Haji Mohammad; Head Office Commissioner Hajah Siti Mariam binti Haji Abdullah, and International and Activities Secretary Kaniz binti Abdul Shakoor.
PPPBD participation in the camp will give its members the opportunity to participate in various activities and pick up new skills. Their involvement will also promote understanding, friendship and cooperation between the Brunei Girl Guides and Singapore Girl Guides.
