HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday attended the meeting of the 20th Asean-Russia Commemorative Summit Leaders with representatives from the Asean-Russia Business Forum at Radisson Blu Resort and Congress Centre, Sochi.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was welcomed by Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, a press release said.
After the meeting, His Majesty joined the President of the Russian Federation, as well as heads of state and government of Asean and the Secretary General of Asean for a group photo session.
The Asean-Russia Business Forum offers a unique opportunity to promote a constructive dialogue between leading representatives from business, politics, civil society, and the expert communities of Russia and Asean member states on key issues of trade, economic, investment, and technology cooperation.
It will also enable participants to expand their business contacts, and will open up new horizons for deepening interregional integration.
