THE Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) recently held a meeting for team leaders of the Maulidur Rasul procession that will be held on December 2 at 7am at the Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien.
Around 140 team leaders and representatives attended the briefing chaired by Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, the Permanent Secretary at the MoRA and the Chairman of the Working Committee of the Maulidur Rasul Procession.
Representatives of agencies such as the Royal Customs and Excise Department, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Royal Brunei Police Force, the Fire and Rescue Department and the Ministry of Health also conducted briefings.
Around 12,775 participants – forming 124 teams of various categories including uniformed units, governmental ministries and departments, secondary schools and higher institutes of learning, associations, the private sector, non-government organisations, village consultative councils (MPK) and mosque Takmir committees – will participate in the procession.
