Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) Primary School yesterday feted over 100 students at its Outstanding Award (Years 1 to 5) Ceremony at the school hall.
Among the recipients were Pengiran Anak Adriana Haziqah Jaida Bulqiah binti Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul ‘Ali Yil-Kabier, the granddaughter of His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah; and Pengiran Nur Aleeyah Syifa binti Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Al-Mokhtar, the granddaughter of Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Member of the YSHHB Board of Directors cum guest of honour Dato Paduka Haji Idris bin Haji Abas handed out the awards and certificates to the 108 students.
In her speech, YSHHB Primary School Principal Hajah Mariam binti Haji Ladi noted that the teachers’ efforts in encouraging and supporting the students brought about the academic excellence.
“Support and collaboration from parents were also important contributions to the success of the students,” she added.
The ceremony was also enlivened with stage performances including a choir, ‘Seantero Dunia’ dance, ribbon dance and Bollywood dance.
