SOME 200 cyclists participated in last night’s Brunei Council on Social Welfare (MKM) ‘Kayuhan Riadah Amal Berbasikal 2017’, held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Berakas, for charity.

The 18km cycle ride was flagged off by MKM President Datin Paduka Hajah Intan binti Haji Mohd Kasim.

Supported by Awang Tum Tum Cycles, a leading distributor of bicycles in the country, as well as Starbucks Brunei, Taurean Bakeshop Café and a number of other organisations, the event was organised by MKM to raise funds for the less fortunate families under its care.

A lucky draw was also held, with a total of 40 prizes on offer, including two Nexus bicycles, one return ticket to Kuala Lumpur as well as electrical goods sponsored by various agencies and companies.

MKM is a non-government organisation that works purely on a voluntary basis to raise funds to support its many projects that aim to help single mothers, vulnerable children and orphans, persons with disabilities, vulnerable senior citizens who live on their own and families belonging to the low income group.
