The troupe’s male lead singer, Mickey Singh Narula, said in an interview, “I have always wanted to perform for special children. It’s a great privilege to give our Bollywood performance for the kids.”

Meanwhile, following the success of their performance at the Arts Centre of Jerudong International School on Friday night, Sugar n Spice hopes to return to Brunei with a grander performance.

Narula said, “I have been to many countries and this is my first time to Brunei. The country is beautiful and I am happy that the audience here is very receptive of Indian music and culture despite not understanding our language.”

“People like and love our music. We love Bruneians for loving our music and dances. I hope that our performance can also strengthen ties between Brunei and India. I would love to do more here. I would like to bring a bigger troupe, do more shows and longer performances in this beautiful place. I wish I can return at least once every year,” he said, adding that should the opportunity arise, he would love to collaborate with local artistes to create music and hold dance performances.
