PANAGA School and Microsoft Brunei announced the launch of an Internet Safety Top Tips contest which is open to primary and secondary students across the country, as part of an initiative to help instill a smart and tech savvy mindset among the youths and encourage students to be safe and Internet- friendly.

In its first year, the competition aims to encourage students to highlight the importance of Internet safety and being good digital citizens. Students are invited to create, innovate and submit their top tips for staying safe online by simply visiting bit.do/toptip and filling out an online form.

Neil Lynch, Digital Educational Specialist teacher at Panaga School, said, “We can’t wait to see what the students have in store for us. The contest is a platform to enable Bruneian students to become good digital citizens and empower their friends and families to have a safer and meaningful digital experience.

“This is a student-led competition which is run by the Middle Years students at Panaga School, and we are grateful to Microsoft for their support,” he continued.

The deadline for submitting the entries for this year’s contest is February 15. Winners in each category stand to win a range of prizes sponsored by Microsoft Brunei.
