YAYASAN Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan) held a ceremony to hand over certificates to 29 youths who completed an assistance programme, Enhancing Socio-Economic Towards Zero Poverty Aid Project (PBSE).
The event was held at the community hall in Kampong Birau in Mukim Kiudang, Tutong. Present as the chief guest to present the certificates was Dato Paduka Haji Idris bin Haji Abas, a member of the Board of Directors of Yayasan and co-chairperson of the PBSE Committee of Voluntary Unit of Yayasan.
The participants were selected by the organisation to undergo a basic skills acquisition course at the Youth Development Centre from December 11-12, 2017. Yayasan financed the expenses of the course including the participants’ transportation costs.
Out of 29 course participants, four took skills acquisition course in fashion design; 10 in basic computer skills and office handling; six in culinary art, banquet and pastry and confectionary skills while nine in vehicle repair.
