ISLAMIC education and Arabic Language educators are encouraged to master Islamic epistemology, taking current technology into consideration to enhance teaching methods to face the industrial revolution frame 4.0 challenges.
The resolution of the 5th International Conference on Research in Islamic Education and Arabic Language 2018 (ICRIALE 2018) was highlighted at the closing ceremony at the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) yesterday.
Present as guest of honour was Deputy Minister of Education, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar.
Acting Ra’es of KUPU SB, Dr Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar; Rector of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal and officers from KUPU SB and UNISSA were also present.
The guest of honour said the conference, themed ‘Transformation of Islamic Education in the Industrial Era 4.0’ was held in conjunction with today’s fast-moving world in different aspect of people lifestyle.
“The industrial era 4.0 is where digital application competes with people in various industries. However, the education sector is not excluded from the phenomena where modern application such as the use of robotic animation and present technology plays its role in making today’s education sector more effective,” he added.
“The industrial era 4.0 shows the importance of educators and education researchers to understand the current changes in the world.
“I believe the research outcome from today’s conference is parallel with the expansion of Islamic civilisation, in the context of technology revolution industrial era 4.0, the combination of ICT, robotic and people as well as as the research outcome that relates with spiritual growth, and the management of Islamic education and Arabic language,” he said.
A video montage was presented before Senior Assistant Professor of KUPU SB, Associate Professor Dr Muhammad Zahiri bin Awang Mat delivered the resolution of the seminar.
The ceremony also witnessed the submission of resolution from the conference co-chairman, Dr Siti Sara binti Haji Ahmad through the Rector of UNISSA to the guest of honour.
