PSJD will continue working hard to chase Coneli Veteran League 2017/18 leaders Landas ahead of their much-anticipated showdown in March.
The local team beat Marudi All Star 4-1 to continue their quest but Landas gained the upper hand after a 4-0 win against TSSB and a 3-0 win against Prestige put them firmly in the driving seat.
PSJD, considered as one of the top veteran teams in the country, must beat Cbuti Old Starz and Mulu FC to ensure that their tie against Landas stay relevant.
PSJD team manager Nordin Tujuh highlighted the need to work hard to chase after Landas who have been in top form.
“We have to work hard and do our best to chase after Landas,” Nordin said in the post-match interview after the Marudi win.
“We have not made any changes in terms of tactics because we keep on changing players every game,” he added.
With Landas boasting a superior goal difference, Nordin said they need to score a lot of goals.
PSJD hitman Haji Annuar Haji Seidil is among the top scorers in the league with 19 goals to his name.
The Brunei-based outfit are second in the table six points behind Landas with 33 points.
