MORE than 200 participants comprising various heads of government department, penghulus and village heads, and Takmir committee members from various mosques in the Belait District attended a Jaulah Fiqh Al-Usrah Workshop at the Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque, Kuala Belait.
Organised by the Fiqh Al-Usrah Research Centre of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) in cooperation with the Belait District Religious Affairs Office, the workshop was aimed at providing a platform for sharing knowledge on the roles of parents in family in accordance with Islamic teachings.
A talk on ‘Challenges in Family Education in an Era of Information Technology (IT)’ was delivered by Datin Dr Hajah Noor Hira binti Haji Noor Kaseh, Dean of the Syariah Faculty at KUPU SB; and Haji Md Syahiran bin Haji Md Sofian, Dean of Student at KUPU SB.
Present at the workshop was Superintendent Haji Mohd Azrie bin Haji Talip, Acting Officer-in-Charge of the Belait Police District; who was welcomed to the event by Haji Nur Asminan bin Haji Chuchu, Head of Religious Officer at the Belait District Religious Affairs Office in his capacity as chairman of the workshop.
The workshop was the third to be held after the earlier ones in Brunei-Muara District and Temburong District.
The next talk is scheduled for the Tutong District in the near future.
