THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) is seeking the public’s assistance in a murder investigation after a body was found behind an old clinic in Kampong Sungai Teraban last Saturday.
According to police statement, personnel from the Kuala Belait Police Station discovered a car with blood stains behind the clinic at 11.20am. Further investigations led them to the discovery of the body of a foreigner in bushes near the vehicle.
A post mortem found injuries on the body yesterday, resulting in the RPBF classifying the case as murder under Section 392, Chapter 22 of the Penal Code.
The Special Investigation Unit under the Criminal Investigation Department which is conducting an investigation is asking members of the public who have any information about the case to contact 2459500 or the nearest police station.
