THE Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) yesterday celebrated 382 retirees who ended their service with the Prime Minister’s Office and departments under it between October 2015 to December 2017 at a Retirement Certificate Presentation Ceremony held at the Banquet Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office Complex, Jalan Menteri Besar.
The guest of honour was Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud. Also present was Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Mosque Affairs Officer, Pengiran Haji Mohd Hafizzuddin bin Pengiran Haji Bakar. It was followed by welcoming remarks by Permanent Secretary (Media and Cabinet) at the Prime Minister’s Office, Mohamed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohamed Yunos, in his capacity as the chairman of the event.
The chairman said the event was held to show appreciation to the retirees for their service to the government and contributions towards achieving the Brunei Vision 2035.
The event continued with a presentation of certificates and tokens of appreciation to the retirees by the guest of honour.
The event concluded with a Doa Selamat read by Pengiran Haji Mohd Hafizzuddin.
Attending the event were Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, Heads of Department as well as officers and personnel of the Prime Minister’s Office and departments under it.
