THE Deputy Permanent Secretary (Finance and Administration) at the Ministry of Defence, Pengiran Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani signed an agreement on Mutual Protection of the Results of Intellectual Activity and Intellectual Property Protection in the Course of Bilateral Military-Technical Cooperation with the Head of the Russian Federal Service for Intellectual Property, G Ivliev in Moscow recently.
The agreement is aimed at ensuring the rights and interests of both countries during the use of the results of intellectual activity as well as preventing and suppressing violation of law during their use. The document provides an opportunity for bilateral cooperation based on the principles of equality and mutual benefit from the use of the results of intellectual activity and intellectual property.
Following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in Military-Technical Cooperation and Memorandum of Understanding on Military Cooperation accordingly in 2016 and 2017, the signing of this agreement successfully finalised the establishment of the legal foundation of the bilateral cooperation in the field of defence and security.
