AIR Vice Marshal Mahmud Hussain, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Brunei Darussalam, officiated the opening of the garment factory NI Sdn Bhd in Pekan Muara yesterday.
His arrival was received by the owner and Bangladesh expatriate Nazrul Islam, and local partner Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Alimin bin Haji Abdul Wahab, as well as invited guests from Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DPPMB).
The event began with the recitation of Doa, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony, and a tour around the garment factory by the high commissioner.
Nazrul Islam shared that the garments, including school uniforms and blankets produced in the factory will be sold in local market apart from exporting.
