THE Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) held a day of activity in the capital yesterday, with prayers and devotional practices as the main theme, to mark the national Israk Mikraj celebration for 1439 Hijrah.
The main activities were several spiritual clinics, religious quizzes, a scavenger hunt, a tug-of-war and a bazaar.
There was also an exhibition set up by the Islamic Studies Department, on the topic of the Youth Al-Quran Reading Scheme, which was first established in 1997. The day began with a walk from the Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas, led by Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, who was also joined by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
Later, the minister toured the exhibition, and presented prizes to the winners of the ‘Prayer Exploration’ challenge.
