THE Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) conducted a workshop highlighting the ministry’s new mobile app ‘iBantu Solat’ to the hospital’s patients and staff. The event was held yesterday at the lecture room of Suri Seri Begawan Hospital, Kuala Belait.
The workshop was a programme under the Public Service Reform Unit (Unit Pembaharuan Perkhidmatan Awam, UPPA), Administration Department of the MoRA.
Introduced late last year by the MoRA, the app is designed to facilitate individuals with disabilities such as patients in performing their daily prayers.
Prior to the start of the workshop, the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Mohammad Ali Omar, the hospital’s Head Religious Teacher.
A short video clip on the ‘Rakan Bantu Solat Pesakit’ (RBSP) and the iBantu Solat mobile app was played to the workshop participants.
The guest of honour was Haji Abdul Khalid As’ari bin Haji Azahari, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of Suri Seri Begawan Hospital. Also in attendance was Haji Asminan bin Haji Chuchu, Head Religious Officer for the Belait District.
Presentations and demonstrations on how to use the app were given by RBSP representatives Ahmad Syujaie bin Mudim Haji Metassim and Norafilah binti Sulong.
Tayammum powder and instruction pamphlets on the iBantu Solat app and RBSP were handed to Haji Abdul Khalid As’ari and a representative of the Head of Medical Officers at Panaga Hospital.
MoRA officers also discussed the implementation of the ministry’s ‘Khidmat Bantu Solat Pesakit’ project – of which the workshop is part of – and the role of the Religious Service Reform Unit stationed in hospitals across the country.
