SHOTOKAN Indoor emerged the overall champion of the 3rd BRUKAF Children, Cadet and Senior Karate-Do National Championship, organised by the Brunei Darussalam Karate-Do Federation (BRUKAF), at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Menglait Sports Complex.
The champions won the most medals bagging eight gold, six silver, seven bronze1 and five bronze2.
Rengokai trailed in second place with eight gold, four silver, seven bronze1 and one bronze2, while Wadokai settled in third with three gold, seven silver, one bronze1 and two bronze2.
Shitokai were fourth in the tournament after collecting one gold, two silver, two bronze1 and two bronze2; followed by Shotokan Temburong in fifth with one gold, one silver, one bronze1 and two bronze2; while Gojukai were sixth with one silver, one bronze1 and three bronze2.
Shihan Pengiran Haji Yura Kesteria bin Pengiran Setia Negara Pengiran Dr Haji Md Yussof, President of BRUKAF; Sensei Muhammad bin Haji Ladis, Deputy President (Operation) of BRUKAF; and Hajah Noraimah binti Abdullah, spouse of late Shihan Malai Mohamed presented the medals.
